"Already the series halogen headlamps of the Renault Mégane uniformly illuminate the road. For attractive 1,000 EUR extra, the customer receives a Bi-Xenon-System with an exemplary range and a very good full light. An additional H7 bulb intensifies the light pattern when turning into high beam mode. Additionally, the headlamps swivel uniformly in curves", stated Auto Strassenverkehr in the summary.
Good lighting is important and this every night and for all car drivers. The optionally offered Bi-Xenon-Systems offer a significant added value. They arrange for a better illumination of the road and its verge. Together with the dynamic curvelight - like included in Renault Mégane - a 70% better visual range in curves can be realized in curves. This is a convincing argument to prioritize this option.
Seven current models of different car brands in the compact segment were chosen for this light test in the longest European light channel. The Halogen- and Xenon headlamps were rated in five categories. The scale ranged from very good to poor. A detailled evaluation is written in the German magazine "Auto Strassenverkehr", issue 11/2009.
Also the second and third places with Mini and Mercedes Benz A-Class are equipped with headlamps from Automotive Lighting.
